Does the Telephone Still Work?

“Mr. Watson, come here. I want to see you.” Those last five words are still as relevant today as they were when Alexander Graham Bell, the inventor of the telephone, first said them to Thomas Watson on March 10, 1876. Bell wasn’t making a sales call. (Or maybe he was? I’ll let you answer that.) Those five words—“I want to see you”—are the key reason I believe the telephone is still an excellent prospecting tool. Sadly, there are plenty of salespeople who fail to realize the telephone is an effective way to prospect. It doesn’t matter how much anyone says otherwise, I’m a firm believer the telephone is an amazing prospecting tool when used right and with the right expectations.
