Summary

For each of the five major contributors to network downtime, we have performed calculations to include them into our availability predictions. Armed with these tools, you should now be ready to proceed to the next chapter where we learn about how to take a large network and divide it up into smaller parts that we can study more easily. As we move forward in the book, you will find that we do not spend time on all five contributors in every example. If you do not feel comfortable with your ability to account for each of the five factors, you may want to make sure you add those you feel comfortable with wherever they are not done for you.
