Multi-site architectures

There are two common techniques used for disaster recovery between multiple sites. Such techniques take into account the Internet latency and the overheads of virtual private networks or the other secure systems. The first is MySQL Replication. This can be implemented between MySQL Clusters (which was covered in Chapter 3, MySQL Cluster Management) or as standard MySQL Replication (which was covered in Chapter 5). Additionally, DRBD can be run in asynchronous mode. DRBD was covered in Chapter 7.
