Uploading the Package to the Cloud

Uploading is the most difficult part of the process. You basically need to take all the content of the Publish folder and move it into your Storage account. It’s difficult because the Management Portal doesn’t allow uploading files to blob storage, so the only valid alternative is using an application that offers these capabilities. Many clients can work with the Windows Azure’s storage, and some of them are free. For this book I’m using Cloud Storage Studio from Cerebrata (now owned by Red Gate), which is available as a trial. Whichever application you choose, follow these steps:

1. Access the Windows Azure storage with the credentials you got in the management portal.
