Abstract

In this chapter, we introduce and demonstrate the use of HSA queues, including both device queues and soft queues. Device queues allow the HSA developer to interact with HSA devices, for example a GPU, and soft queues allow HSA programs and non-HSA devices to provide software abstractions that implement the same queuing interface as HSA devices implement.
