A workstation requires either room temperature or slightly cooler to operate properly. Thin client workstations are computers with limited configuration flexibility and processing power; they are useful when the EHR/EMR client software will be run on the server side. Often the thin client OS is installed into computer chips (firmware) rather than being installed on a hard disk.
