EHR Standards for Records Management and Evidentiary Support

Electronic health records (EHRs) are a complex and evolving ecosystem. As such, the Health Level Seven (HL7) standards development organization (SDO) has developed an EHR system profile known as the Records Management and Evidentiary Support Functional Profile (RM-ES FP).²⁷ This profile serves as a framework for the functions and conformance criteria for EHR systems to follow in the design and implementation of an EHR system for healthcare organizations.
