In previous chapters, we discussed the basic workflow of the front-office, back-office, and nursing processes. The clinician is central character around which all of those processes revolve. The clinician exerts a great deal of control over everything that goes on around them and ultimately is responsible for the safety and well-being of the patients under their care. In this chapter, we will look at the challenges of delivering patient care from the clinician’s perspective.
