War on ReformNew Law Faces Legal, Political Attacks

Since passage in 2010, health care reform has been under constant assault by lawsuits and Republican politicians on the state and federal levels. So far, proponents and opponents are locked in stalemate.

As of mid 2011, two federal judges have ruled that the new health care law is unconstitutional, and two federal judges have ruled that it is constitutional. After Republicans gained control of the House of Representatives, they attempted to lead a full congressional repeal of the law. The law was repealed in the House, but the measure stalled in the Senate.

We'll take a closer look at those developments in this final chapter and try to determine the alternatives ...
