5.7. Helpful and Communicative Managers

Not all survivors blamed all managers. Some saw certain managers as accessible and as facilitators of communication:

  • "My immediate manager, I can talk to him about what's going on real comfortably, and he's more worried about his job than I am with mine. He's gone through six location changes, so he knows what it's all about. He's pretty open, pretty honest. He's even told me to polish up my résumé, that it wouldn't hurt to send it around because things aren't looking good." (production employee)
