4.7. Distrust and Betrayal

Feelings of distrust and betrayal emerged as themes in the field, headquarters, and professional/technical groups:

  • "My attitude is affected by what's gone on in the company, and I'm not so positive when I go out there and work. [I think,] 'That's not my problem,' where before my attitude was a lot different. I don't care whether the company, and I say the company, can support that customer in the middle of the night. It shouldn't be my problem; it's their problem. Let them find somebody else. I'm not going to go out there. That's the attitude I had to take a couple times because I don't care anymore." (field employee)
