CHAPTER 6. Superblock
A “superset” contains everything that a “subset” contains and maybe more. If there are two or more “subsets,” a “superset” contains everything those “subsets” contain and maybe more.
A superblock is a block that has a superset of functions and capabilities needed for that domain, even if only a subset will be used in a given product. The primary advantage is the ability to reuse the same hardware and firmware design files. Reusing the same files across current and future chips and products reduces defects and development time, allowing the products to get to market sooner.
