If your project requires a controller, there are a number of ready-to-use
products on the market that allow you to use a high-level language to pro-
gram. These products typically require a connection to a power supply and
a programming cable connected to a PC.
Table C-1 shows a number of these ready-to-use controller boards. These
kits allow you to get small to medium amounts of code working very quick-
ly. I have used the BasicX and BasicStamp controllers for projects in this
book due to their ease of use.
