The integration of CloudTrail and CloudWatch can be verified by navigating to the CloudWatch dashboard and checking the entries CloudTrail and GreeterAuditTrailGroup.
One of the entries that that constitutes a CloudTrail's event packet is pushed to the log group. The following screenshot illustrates this:
