We now have a quick-and-dirty Alexa skill up and running. There are a few rough edges that need to be polished, which involve ensuring that the user doesn't get stuck in conversational limbo. Also, we need to pay attention to the design of the invocation and the sample utterances. When these finishing touches are done, the skill is ready to be distributed.
