If everything was correctly deployed, we can test the skill. On the dashboard of the skill, there is a tab named Test. Clicking on it will navigate us to the testing screen. Note that the testing is disabled by default. The toggle has been switched to enable testing for the skill. There are various options to test the skill. The developer console provides a nifty way of simulating the Alexa companion hardware devices. It is called Alexa Simulator. Other options supply the JSON manually, which requires in-depth knowledge of the payload that is passed to the Alexa backend from the hardware.
