Resource Limitation

In a multiuser database system, it's often necessary to limit a user's access to system resources such as disk space, shared CPU time, and disk I/O. For example, suppose that you are supporting a team of Oracle Application Express developers. One developer might have a penchant for building infinite loops in PL/SQL subprograms or establishing an excessive number of database sessions that consume an unreasonable amount of database resources at the expense of other developers trying to do their work.
