The history of chatbots begins much earlier than you may think. We are in England in the mid-20^th century when Alan Turing, asking the question Can machines think?, proposes a test that links intelligence to the ability to hold a conversation. Since then, the challenge of creating software capable of simulating human language in an increasingly accurate manner has never stopped.
