ALICE

Artificial Linguistic Internet Computer Entity (ALICE) was created as open source software based on Natural Language Processing (NLP). It was designed with the Artificial Intelligence Markup Language (AIML) by scientist Richard S. Wallace in 1995. Alice's interpretation system was based on a minimal approach. The meaning of a sentence was elaborated through specific keywords or terms (roots), avoiding in-depth and complex analyzes. Alice won the Loebner prize three times: in 2000, 2001, and 2004.
