Correcting Video and Audio Problems

As hard as we try to get things right during shooting, usually there will be some (hopefully) minor video and audio corrections to make before encoding. This chapter covers the highlights, the common adjustments you’ll likely have to make to optimize your encoding results.

If you’re an experienced editor, you probably know this material, since these corrections are similar to those you would make for other projects not bound for streaming. On the other hand, if you’re relatively new to video production, you may find one or two of these adjustments manna from heaven, a fix for a previously unsolvable problem. I hope so; they’ve certainly saved many of my projects over the years.
