Summary

ASP.NET Core MVC is a vast backend framework that provides countless capabilities for creating web applications. In modern web applications, the importance of backend frameworks has moved from being the center of every action in the application, to being responsible for the application data and serving the frontend code to the end user quickly and securely.

In this chapter, we went through the main features of ASP.NET Core MVC that enable it to serve successfully as the backend of modern SPAs. In the next chapter, we will be diving into creating REST APIs with ASP.NET Core MVC—an essential part of every web application today.
