A dataset is used as an intermediate layer between a pipeline and a data store. When we create a dataset, we're asked to choose what data store we want to connect to, a linked service. A dataset also contains a schema, which is the tabular representation of our data. We'll create a dataset later in this chapter and we'll review these concepts.
