The following software assets should be available on a centralized version control repository:
- Components, such as source files or library files
- Third-party components, such as DLLs and JAR files
- Configuration files
- Data files that are needed to initialize an application
- Build scripts and build environment settings
- Installation scripts that are needed for some components
You must decide what should go into version control.
