The Business Value of CI/CD

Now that we have a clear understanding of what automation, continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD) are, we need to communicate the business value of these practices to business stakeholders, or else we risk building features without action items that incorporate these practices. This chapter is about convincing the stakeholders of these values, and we will discuss problems with communication, how to communicate pain points to team members, sharing responsibilities among different teams, knowing your key stakeholders, how to demonstrate why CI/CD is important, and how to get approval for CI/CD from your stakeholders.
