Installing the Blue Ocean plugin on an existing instance

If you install Jenkins on most platforms, you will not have the Blue Ocean plugin installed with all of its dependent plugins by default. You will need to make sure that you are running on Jenkins version 2.7.x or greater to install the Blue Ocean plugin.

In order to install plugins on a Jenkins instance, you must have administrator permission that is set through matrix-based security, and any Jenkins administrators can also configure the permissions of other users in the system.

 The steps to install the Blue Ocean plugin are as follows:
