Summary

In this chapter, you have learned how to apply a different set of techniques from the ImageMorphology package. These operations helped you to modify the original image and remove small noise; shrink, separate, and identify objects; and adjust background space.

These techniques are used as a preprocessing step before document processing, object detection, and tracking, which will be covered later in this book.

Now that you have learned how to adjust and enhance grayscale images, let's move on to partitioning colorful images using image segmentation techniques.
