Abstract:

Water, an essential utility in the process industry, serves in a wide range of unit operations as either a mass separation agent or a heat transfer medium. This chapter highlights how water is utilised from the viewpoint of Total Site, as well as how water can be used effectively with the aid of water reuse methods in a holistic manner to the benefit of the whole plant.
