Richard A. Brualdi is Bascom Professor of Mathematics, Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His primary mathematical interests are in combinatorics and matrix theory, with an emphasis on combinatorial matrix theory. He is a former president of the International Linear Algebra Society (ILAS), which in 2006 awarded him the Hans Schneider Linear Algebra Prize for lifetime contributions. In 2000 he was awarded the Euler Medal by the Institute of Combinatorics and its Applications (ICA) for distinguished contributions to combinatorial research. He currently serves as one of the editors-in-chief of Linear Algebra and its Applications and the Electronic Journal of Combinatorics.
