Abstract

This chapter deals with various aspects of the Energy and Atmosphere Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) category including LEED credits and LEED V3 and V4 Rating systems. This is followed by a study of the Building Envelope and exterior wall systems such as curtain walls. Then Intelligent Energy Management Systems such as building automation and intelligent buildings are looked at. A discussion of Mechanical Systems (Air Conditioning, Heating, and Ventilation) includes Types of HVAC Systems and HVAC requirements and deficiencies.
