Abstract
This chapter essentially explains Green Building Principles and the primary components of green building. It also highlights the main characteristics of high performance and smart/intelligent buildings and the use of an integrated design approach and the importance of putting together an integrated multidisciplinary project team to achieve the desired objectives. Additionally, the fundamental differences between the integrated design process approach to design and the conventional design approach are explained.
