The Economic and Financial Effects of Environmental Regulation

Abstract

An examination of the stylized facts and empirical evidence shows that the perceived adverse economic and financial effects of environmental regulation are exaggerated. Some evidence even indicates that environmental regulation exerts positive effects on the indicators it is supposed to inflict damage on.
