Borrowing from a popular Chinese saying, we see this implementation section as presenting a purposefully eclectic series of implementation cases. Emerging and burgeoning advancements in technology, combined with continuing advancements in our understanding about learning contribute to making the process of design “interesting.” While “interesting times” denotes challenges, innovative learning technologies provide not only challenges, but exciting and promising opportunities for improving learning. This section, therefore, is organized around four implementation challenges related to design in educational technology:
