About the Contributors
John J. Antos, MBA, is president of Value Creation Group, a management consulting firm specializing in activity-based management, quality costs, acquisitions, planning, and modern cost systems. He consults and lectures around the world to major companies and is a recognized professional in his field. He has been a chief financial officer, director, and controller within industry and has turned around a company on the verge of bankruptcy. He has consulted on such topics as ABM, ABC, ABB, accounting systems, strategic planning, plant expansion studies, acquisitions, and marketing. Mr. Antos has an MBA in accounting and marketing from the University of Chicago and a BS in business administration from the University of Illinois–Urbana. He is also a certified management accountant and a certified financial planner.
Robert Dale Apgood, PhD, MBA, CPA, is a leasing and financial consultant, specializing in international leasing, accounting, and finance. Dr. Apgood has served as chairman of the Accounting Standards Committee for the broadcast industry, as vice president of finance for a broadcasting and telecommunications conglomerate, and as a full professor of accounting. In addition to his consulting practice, he is currently vice president of Canterbury Group, a high-tech bioremediation firm.
