7.5. SUMMARY

In summary, we applied TESI® data accumulated so far on individual ratings on their teams from leadership and emotional intelligence training groups to conduct an in-depth analysis of conflict resolution and its relationship to divergent thinking. This analysis was triggered by individuals rating their teams as least capable in exercising skills in conflict resolution and our hypothesis that this was due in part to the increased requirement for using divergent thinking to be accomplished in this skill. We found in looking at the TESI® scale scores that teams with perceived restricted divergent thinking are rated as having visibly lower competence in conflict resolution than teams with perceived higher divergent thinking capabilities. ...
