14.5. SUBJECTING THE EQ-I® TO THE UNIFIED APPROACH

Together the three interpersonal scales of the EQ-i® make up twenty-four (of 117) unique items (excluding double items at the composite level) that are used to specifically calculate the fifteen scale scores. Roughly speaking, the inter personal domain makes up about one-fifth (20 percent) of the total EQ score. By comparison, the intra personal domain takes up about 32 percent with the other three domains covering the remaining 48 percent of the total EQ score.
