Three case studies are presented in the rest of the chapter—a successful intervention, a moderately successful one, and one that struggled to achieve impact. All three are described as indicative of the full range of possible outcomes from an emotional intelligence intervention with high achievers. Studying the case studies can shorten the learning curve for anyone designing an intervention for this particular group of people in an organizational setting. The contrasts among the three case studies illustrates the need for a robust design for such interventions.
