17.2. OPC LEADERSHIP STUDY

Four hundred and sixty-four principals or vice-principals (187 men and 277 women) from nine school boards in Ontario, representing the social, economic, cultural and geographic diversity of the province, participated in the study. Two-hundred and twenty six participants were elementary school principals, eighty-four were elementary school vice-principals, forty-three were secondary school principals, and fifty-seven were secondary school vice-principals (fifty-four did not indicate their current position). The mean age of all participants was forty-seven.
