12.3. MIXED MODEL CONCEPT

Proponents of mixed models of ESI, such as the BarOn EQ-i®, suggest that ESI is a "learned" intelligence, and by definition can be improved through training and practice. This has been cited as part of the lure of ESI and has contributed to its phenomenal growth in popularity. Some believe that ESI is an "intelligence" that everyone can have if they read the books or go to ESI training.
