Along with further examination of the benefits of the OPC training program, other research needs to be conducted on the role emotional and social competencies play in successful school leadership. Another project is currently under way to examine the relationship between EI and leadership in a related group of school administrators. In the new project, the EI and leadership abilities of a diverse group of supervisory officers (superintendents) from a variety of public school boards in Ontario are being examined.
