10.5. CONCLUSION

In this chapter, the assessment, development, and research of EI in individuals, teams, groups, and organizations was discussed. Research is currently being done in South Africa on the role of EI in various contexts, such as determining levels of EI in individuals applying to participate in reality shows or developing EI in sports teams. This chapter also explored the value of developing EI in individuals who are illiterate through the use of song, dance, and poetry.
