5.2. BALANCE

Now that we have discussed the concept of drag, let's examine the concept of Balance.

Traditionally, feedback on the EQ-i® is given by discussing an individual's areas of strength and weakness. This can be effective, but it misses the idea that at times the strength can be the weakness. This suggests that a more effective way to view EQ-i® results and to give feedback is to understand the concept of balance. Taking this view, any area that is in the low range (89 and below) or the high range (110 and higher) needs to be evaluated in terms of the subscales that offset or balance them.
