In this chapter I will examine advanced EQ-i® interpretation techniques, specifically the concepts of Drag, Balance, and Leverage. The EQ-i® (BarOn Emotional Quotient Inventory) was written by Dr. Reuven Bar-On, and was published by Multi-Health Systems (MHS) in 1997. It is a widely used self-report assessment and is an excellent tool to provide a snapshot of an individual's emotional and social intelligence.
