Summary

VoIP networks are a collection of software, hardware, infrastructure services, and protocols. This chapter discussed a new standard audit program (VSAP) for consistently measuring VoIP in terms of security. The audit program shows how to audit VoIP entities for standard security practices. Auditing VoIP networks and devices is the best method of identifying the gaps in a VoIP network, in terms of availability and security, and will allow end users to begin the process of mitigating any identified security gaps.
