Tools for Running DDOS Attacks

With the turn of the century, it seemed like most companies were concerned with Y2K problems and whether we would still have electricity to run computers when January 1, 2000 hit. As everyone was worrying about this problem, there was a new problem brewing—attackers were building tools that could launch devastating Distributed Denial of Service attacks. The first main attack took place in February of 2000, where several large companies were taken offline.
