Tools for Running DOS Attacks

Just like any of the other exploits we cover, there are programs that an attacker can use to run the exploits. In the case of Denial of Service attacks, the ultimate goal is to deny access to a particular component (such as a network or a computer), which is accomplished by either crashing the system or using up all its resources, so that no one else can use it. Because this is the goal, it does not matter which DOS exploit is used, as long as the legitimate users are denied access to the system.
