13.8. Displaying the right direction

We’re now using a specific user language and displaying times, dates, and numbers in the corresponding format familiar to that user. But we have one thing left to do, and that’s to get our widgets displaying and reacting in the right direction.

We’re sure text such as “etaD” and “timiL deepS” isn’t so easy for you to read. You might spot that it’s written backward and so read it with a little trouble, but if the entire interface was like this, you’d give up.

This isn’t such an unusual situation, because some languages are written and read from right to left. If you’ve gone to the trouble to translate your interface, you should at least present it in the right direction.
