Don't use undocumented features unless there's absolutely no other way. Your best strategy here is not to use them at all unless instructed to by Microsoft. Use your investigation into the undocumented features in SQL Server as a means of getting to know the product better, not a treasure hunt for nifty routines you can drop untested onto production systems.
