Internal Distractions

Sometimes distractions aren't external in nature. Sometimes, they can be found within the office itself. One of mine was the one-eyed monster—the television. By choice, I do not have a television in my office. I removed it some years ago. It's too tempting to flip it on when I'm waiting on a compile to finish or a file to transfer. Perhaps you have more willpower than I do, but my recommendation is that you remove everything that might distract you—including the television—from your work environment.
