Summary

In this chapter you learned several techniques for generating large volumes of test data. Creating test data is something database developers and administrators frequently need to do, so it's helpful to know several techniques for doing so and what the tradeoffs between them are. As we've seen, the technique you choose is a matter of quality versus performance. Generating better quality (more random) test data takes longer than simply generating duplicate rows.
