Chapter 1Introduction

The purpose of this Guide is to present the broad range of knowledge related to the safe installation of electrical wiring and equipment in which an individual must demonstrate proficiency to become qualified as a Master Electrician. The Guide, therefore, also serves as a guide to the National Electrical Code,1 hereafter also referred to as the Code, for anyone interested in the design and installation of electrical wiring systems.
